Happy New Year '06

My 4 year-old daughter is a huge puzzlist.

That's someone who enjoys the heck out of putting puzzles together.

I mean, she'll sit and place pieces one by one until the whole picture is
complete.
And won't stop til it's done. At that age, I never had the patience or
concentration
to assemble a bazillion pieces (She's up to 150 pieces).
I was to active to contain myself to work on puzzles. Now you put
a crayon in my hand and a large piece of paper and - look out!
You won't see me for hours- and still is true today.

It's fascinating to watch her methodically hunt down
and place all the pieces in the right order.

The New Year brings with it many new opportunities
and endless possibilities for YOU.

It also brings the challenge of not only figuring
out what you want, but how you will get it and
what it will feel like when yo get there. It's much like
putting a puzzle together. You have to decide
how to place everything in the right place in
order to see a clear picture of your future in
front of you.

In taking some extra time to do this NOW will make
you super successful in the future.

I broke bread with a good friend and his family
on New Years eve. He has a thriving business going for him.
When I asked him if he
sets goals for himself this
time of year, he said NO. Now he has 40 or so
employees working for him.
And he seemed to be content
with where he was though he had hit a ceiling.
But as we continued, I sensed some frustration ...

'Vinnie, I keep making more dough but I have
to pay out more
for my employees. When I was making 300k a
year it was great cause
it was just me. I now make a mill or two but in
the end I only make a bit
more than when I started out considering the
overhead I have. I'm wondering if
it's worth all the extra head aches.'

I read into this thinking here's a guy who could stand to set a goal.
If for no other reason that something to
move towards instead of feeling like he's hit a ceiling.
When you make goals, opportunities open up
for you that weren't presented to you before.

So many of us spin that hamster wheel
and never figure out how much money would make us happy
and brainstorm avenues to get there.

Then time goes by and we're left scratching our heads
as to why we are where we are.

Take time to figure out what you want (if you haven't already).
It will be your ticket off the hamster wheel.

I'm excited to announce to you a tool that can
help you in this department.
And it's almost finished and I'll be announcing
it soon. Hold on to your sauerkraut you won't want
to miss this.

Conceive your goal, Believe you can reach it
and Achieve it with gusto!

Happy Neu Year! (Some German to add to your vocab)
