How to Achieve Any Goal
Dear Friend,
I'll never forget the first time I ever sat down to
plan my financial future.
It has been several years ago, and was just
hired on at a firm where
I was making 35k a year as an illustrator.
Though this is a lot for most artists starting out,
it was hardly anything close to what I made
playing pro football in Germany.
I wanted something more for myself. I needed to make a plan.
I decided to go to lunch. Alone. So I could concentrate.
I sat down in a restaurant and ate my meal while thinking of my future.
Grabbing a bunch of napkins as I typically
do when brainstorming ideas,
I wrote down what I was currently making.
Then I thought about the salary that
would make me happy.
Hmmm. How about a six figure income.
Towards the bottom of the napkin I wrote that number.
After I wrote my number and the year in which
I wanted to achieve it, I then
broke the years between into bite sized chunks
until I got to the six figure
income. Like stair stepping my way until I
reached the last one,
my ultimate financial number.
This monee may or may not seem like a lot to you and
the point of my story is not to impress or un-impress.
The point is to show this number at the time was a stretch for me.
How do I know this was challenging?
Well, I recall mini illustrations next each goal I created.
Next to each number I drew myself assembling
a chair of some kind. With each year it took more and more shape.
In the climactic goal my chair was complete,
a beach chair, and I sat back
in it with my arms crossed behind my head.
I visualized living in the lap of luxury makin' six figures.
Come now the result. In every year I hit or
exceeded the number I set for myself.
No big deal you say. It was a big deal. Opportunities
opened up for me that I
believe would NOT have been there if I didn't
take time to plan what I wanted.
Out of the blue I had an opportunity to join a start-up
biz and it paid off big time for me.
These days I realize I'm capable of much much more.
I look back on those
old numbers and only smile. My financial thermostat is set
higher and as a result I had a banner year last year.
It is all because I imagined my future before I ever got there.
One of the secrets I can share is makin your goals visual.
I had to think about
what feelings I wanted before I could ever draw
me sitting back in the lap of luxury. Then I could focus
on that end state picture
while still seeing my goal. As a result, I rocket launched
myself to my goal. Feelings are huge when it
comes to achieving what you want.
They are the missing element from most people's goal setting process.
That is the reason I created my latest
Financial Success Goal Tracker
to help YOU reach your financial number.
I've wrapped a super charged visual element to
energize your desire to cross the finish line.
I uncover other major important elements
to aid you when setting goals as well.
I'll give you a step-by-step approach that will
make goal achievement seem like a breeze.
It all starts in your mind. If you don't mind- IT DON'T MATTER.
Live your financial dream.
Conceive, believe, achieve,
