Find a Workout Under Any Rock
Dear Friend,
Last night we brought Cheri home from the hospital.
But no Vivian.
Viva Vivian (my new nickname for her) has to stay at the hospital
for a few more days. When we
finally do bring her home we're going to celebrate.
And I mean celebrate.
Anyway, I went last night to the hospital to be with our daughter.
She is improving rapidly. She took some formula yesterday
and the Doctor says
she will be just fine. I was rocking her in the
newborns intensive care unit (NICU). I listened to the sounds
around me. A weazing sound came from the crib next to us, where
a baby was struggling to breath.
There were beeps and buzzes going off every now and then
to signify a baby needing assistance.
When I looked into Vivian deep dark eyes, it struck me.
Life is amazingly special and fragile. You have to
give thanks for you own and the life of your kids
everyday.
Our daughter is far less in danger of hanging on than the others.
In fact, it was said that what she has is pretty common among
newborns. But for some reason it didn't affect me any less.
Kids are gifts. Bundles of wonderful joy and energy.
Those nurses working that unit are special people.
To be doing what they do to revive
and care for the babies 24/7 is a noble thing.
In my book they are up there with police officers, firefighters and
the military. They are some special people.
Lastly, with all the running around I haven't wanted to leave the girls
unattended
to go exercise. All week at the hospital I was eyeing up the stairs I
walk down to the cafeteria. These would be awesome for a quick workout.
It reminded me of a workout I did in high school (with the wrestling coach)
to get my bootie ready for college ball.
He took us in the school's stairwell, plugged in his
tape player and worked us over pretty well.
'Start running and I'll tell you when to stop.'
It seemed we went through six
or seven of his 70's hippie songs before
we ever heard from 'Mr. G.'
I was geeked to give 'em a go after seeing Vivian.
Once I was done hangin' with Vivian it was around midnight.
I took to those stairs with a fury letting off some steam
and anxiety from the week. There were ten
flights of stairs that I left my trends on. Up and down, up and down
and when I finished I was elated.
I had cooked my quads and glutes good in just a short spell.
As I walked out to my car, I realized how better I was feeling about things.
It's important to take care of yourself first in order to take care of
the others around you.
To get some excellent exercises to flail the flab from
your body. I have rounded up several
from my gridiron days and you can find them in my
course called Triple Your Endurance.
This energy infusing course will give you everything you need to
flow through the day with less fatigue. It will also throw your endurance
levels off the charts for the first time in a long time.

because your life is worth living to the fullest.
When you learn these you won't feel like you need a gym
to get a descent workout in. These can be done on any neighborhood side walk
or city block.

Vince Palko
Ps. I wanted to thank everyone again for their support.
I never get tired of writing this. You people
are the best. You have shared tons with me.
Similar experiences that you;ve endured. Some stories
more tragic than others. My heart goes out to those
parents who had to experience such challenging things.
I feel NOW MORE than ever a stronger connection with
YOU in my email community. Thank you and Cheri thanks you too.
