How to Write your First Book

They say one of the biggest dreams most people have
is to write a book.

Is that true for you? If so, then you'll love today's email.

The illustration above was the result of listening
to a teleseminar Matt presented a few years back.
He talked about his method for writing "How To"
books and how you have to do one
thing a night to complete your book.

After I hung up, I made up a goal to write a certain amount
in order to finish my course.

Then, being a visual goal oriented person I drew a picture
(see picture above) of myself performing this simple task every night.
(Note the goatiee from a couple of years ago)
I then hung this image next to my computer in my
office so I see it everyday. When I look at this picture it gives
me peace.

Why?

I made my goal an easy task - NOT ten pages a night but something
extremely reasonable. Super easy to do.

SO when I look at this image of myself I feel complete bliss.

The reason is I love knocking down daily goals one by one.
I radiate a sense of accomplishment and PRIDE! Not a bettter
feeling in the world- if you ask me.

Step by step, bit by bit - what can you do to reach your goals?

Do you have a book idea in ya?

I think you dooo!

Could you write a certain amount of pages a week to get it done?

I think you cannnn!

Now I don't want to hear how old you are. You are younger
than you think. SO many people who accomplished great things
after the age of 55 and they're too many to mention.

I know of one person on this list who could write about what
his or her passion is.
"Who am I thinking about," you ask?

That person is you! Just start writing.
Before you know it you'll have a sentence
together, then a paragraph, then a chapter and
before you know it a competed manuscript.

it with you on your writing journey.
