How to Break in Your New Office

Just refinished our basement and boy is it a wonderful new living space.

On top of that, we created a new studio, think tank, office, for moi.
It's bigger and better. It totally rocks. It comes complete with an expanded storage facility for upcoming NEW products. (BTW, look for a EXCITING announcement tomorrow)

Guess what the first items I moved to my NEW personal space were?

You guessed it, all the Matt Furey Success Visuals.

I framed them with some inexpensive, yet good quality
frames from Michaels (an art and supply store). These framed
exercise posters look sah-weeet!

Now when I took down the framed pieces,
Sophia (4 years young) followed me to the basement.

Guess what she asked as I carried them to their future spots on the wall?
She looked at the illo of Matt and said, "What's Mr. Matt doing here,Dad?"

"The Back Bridge." I replied.

"I'm going to do that" she said.

She popped down into the bridge quicker than I ever seen
anyone do. She held it for a good 50 seconds.

It inspired her proud poppa to hold a quick bridge too. See photo.

We ended up doing more exercises on the
fresh, new smelling carpet. It was an awesome bonding experience that broke my new office in perfectly.

To many parents these days have actions that reflect "do as I say and not as I do."They tell there kids that can't eat candy or junk food. When the kids hit the hey, the parents run to the snack cupboard to shovel in all the crap.

For me, I want to create an environment with my kids where
I not only talk the talk but walk the walk.

As a two-time captain at BGSU, I realized the best way to lead the troops is
to lead by example. Talk is cheap. So the best way to communicate exercise
is vital is by making it a priority with my time.

The hope is our kids will understand how important their health is to them.

If one way to get the point across to them by hanging pretty pictures of
fitness activities in my office, then that's what I'll do.
You can also bet Daddy will enjoy pumping out Combat Conditioning exercises
for many years to come with them too!
