More Inspiration Closer to Home
Hi test,
Had a response to the Abled Wrestler a couple of days ago.
The world needs more inspiring news so
here's a story from one of our own.
Dear Vince:
I just want you to know that I have had a similar
experience with my son, Mark. He is an honor
student (3.85 on his last report card), is a certified
SCUBA diver and certified lifeguard, reads from the
Holy Scriptures in front of 1,000 parishoners, is finishing
up his Eagle Scout award, and was born profoundly deaf.
His mother and I were told he would never hear a car horn
beep or ever speak a word of English. We were told he would
start first grade when he was 8 years old (having a two-year
language delay). When he was 8 years old, he was not only
in the 3rd grade, but his receptive vocabulary was tested at
18 years, 7 months (college freshman level). He never thought
there was anything wrong with him!
Now it is time for his old man to get back in shape. I need the
kind of attitude he has.
Keep up the good work. Thanks for the inspiration.

Dr. V's response....
George, that's one amazing story. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like you and your wife raised one helluva son.
You've got the goal and a course on its way to you (arriving any day) so
all the best to you in your efforts to get back in shape.
Your son is a shining example of the power of determination and desire.
Best,
Vince
