A 50 Year Young Doer Gets 'After It'
We all have our own race to run. We shouldn't
compare ourselves to anyone.
And today we have a special treat from someone
I had the good fortune
to meet at Matt's seminar in October.
I put him in the classification of a 'Doer' achieving the
goals he set for himself.
After reading his email, it confirmed one thing that I
concluded after meeting him. This man has
clearly taken good care of himself through the years.
Check out how he attained some of his Combat
Conditioning goals with his Goal Tracker Success Package.
'Vince, After purchasing your Goal Tracker Success
Visuals posters, I was motivated to work out a plan.
I subtracted my current rep count from my goal and then
divided the remaining weeks to my target date by the
rep count difference. That worked out to about 4-5
additional reps a week. Something that seemed like
I could attain. I would face the posters while I worked
out and picture myself performing the movements like Matt.
They're not big numbers but I was totally stoked to be
able to do 150 Hindu squats, 50 Hindu push ups and a
two minute bridge on my 50th birthday. That was about
15 months after suffering a severely fractured patella and
more than 12 years after surgery to 'correct' osteochondritis
disecans of the talus (something that had me limping
and feeling like a semi-cripple during the ensuing years).
Not only that, but a coworker and me decided to run up the
nine flights of stairs to our offices after a fire drill one day a
month or so after attaining my goals. He's almost 15 years
younger than me and runs 3-5 miles a day. Not only did I
smoke him going up, I was pulling away by floor number
seven! He was totally blown away because he knows I
can't run (in the traditional sense). I credited CC and your
visuals for helping me get in better physical shape
than I've been since I was in my early thirties two decades ago.
Thanks!'

Vp's response.................................
Dear JC, I don't care if you were shooting for 60 reps
as your goal. The important thing is you reached it. Pat thyself
on thy back. How many people
would love to be able to do 150– including people half your age.
So let me help celebrate- NICE!!!!!!! (in my loud gutteral voice)
Love the fact you toasted the young cat up the
stairs- thanks for sharing!
Now, set up your Goal Trackers to reach the next rung
in your mind for what you want to achieve.
Hats off my friend. Keep growing younger and stronger.
Conceive, believe, achieve,

Vince Palko
Ps. You too can whoop on people 15 years younger by
further developing your Combat Conditioning exercises.
